В отличие от случайной выборки, ее элементы отбираются по каким-то правилам, обоснованным критериям или даже привычкам (предрассудкам) делающего отбор. Например, при опросе можно случайным образом отобрать 20 студентов с одного курса, а можно выбрать из того же курса 20 студентов, получивших лучшие оценки. Они и составят систематическую выборку.
